ULTIMATE COOLING MOD Engine Cowls!!!

Category: Accessories
Price: $60
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): NJ
Item Condition: Used

Up for sale is an ULTIMATE COOLING MOD! This is a modified engine cowl that SIGNIFICANTLY improves air flow and reduces the dread heat-soak in the engine bay.

I purchased a spare set and this is the completed version of the spare...I have the exact same set=up in my car, only difference is that the cut-outs and epoxy painting are already done!

Shipping will cost you $10; pick-up is free to anyone in the NJ/PA Philly area.

I'm right by Camden County College, BUT I drive from Exit 8 on Rt42 South up to Trenton via 295N every day...SO, I'm willing to meet halfway along any stretch of that road.

I want to sell this quick, so if you want to meet up, LMK and we'll make plans...totally willing to find an agreeable place for this transaction to occur!

How does Monday, 7pm work at the parking lot of Katmandu?

That's 50 miles North of me, about halfway from you, I think...

I will give him until noon tomorrow; I'll check back in by noon. They're yours at that point in time.

UPDATE: Just thought I would post this...in all honesty, I thought this was really a "no way..." kind of mod at first...but believe you me, and ANYONE else who has done this...this is a SOLID mod, and praise be to Innacurate for coming up with it.

Make a mental note of the heat soak before you put it in...because it's GONE once these are in!

Also, if you have any questions about install, I will provide by phone number to walk you through installation.

Nicely done, Dan, shocker, of COURSE you took my idea and Deathmetalized it...

I'm sure these'll sell immediately. Heatsoak being gone is NOT an understatement. I sometimes nap in my engine bay after a 200 mile drive now. It's just so cozy and cool in there...

No problems, dude.

Unfortunately I am going to have to be rather firm with the location. I am putting my 'miles traveled' cap at 50; Katmandu puts me at 49.8.

LMK.

Naturally, Jer! DUDE, you weren't kidding with how big a difference this makes...it's so nice to hit the final leg of my morning commute with confidence to pass people!

Awesome, man...glad my butt dyno wasn't a liar.
Confirmed, it works! Yeah, at lunch, in the heat here in Florida...the car felt super sluggish...especially with 3 coworkers (guys) with me in the car. After this mod...I was good to go.

Does the cowl really change it that much? May have to try it for the Texas summer heat.

Sold?

As stated in inacc's thread...your runs being done won't show the gains you'd feel with this unless you do hood closed and multiple runs to heat up the engine bay then do same scenario with this mod. What you will find is more consistent runs and not as much loss from heat rather than gains from anything. Hope that makes sense...

similar to the explanation of the pros of having the throttle body spacers/im spacer.
