trunk license plate trim - 3G TL Type S only

Category: Exterior - Body Parts
Price: $50
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G, Type-S Model
Location (State/Prov/Terr): CA
Item Condition: Used

was taking apart my trunk yesterday and stupidly didn't realize my license plate was holding on my trim onto the car...so i kept pulling and pulling and cracked my OEM trim in like 5 spots.
please let me know your price shipped to 92056. looking to buy this asap.

this MUST be from a 3G TL Type S, or a trim piece that was meant for a base model with a camera. I need to be able to use my camera with this trim (I do not need the camera) and it must have the camera cutout.

Don't feel badly, I did the same thing.
I may have one that the two top holes were drilled out to be able to be used on a base (used on my old TL)
Let me know if that wouldn't bother you and I'll snap a picture.

to be clear, you don't see that the holes were widened when the plate is on.

haha i've heard a lot of people do that...i just thought the license was bolted into the trim! (sounds stupid now)

which top two holes are you talking about, the ones for the license plate screws? If you can take a picture that would be great! also, does it have the camera cutouts on the top underside (can you get a picture of that too along with the rear mounting features (sorry for all the pic requests!)? thanks man!

haha, i was pretty bummed yesterday that i made such a stupid mistake and my ocd won't allow me to keep that trim on there with all those cracks. hopefully it's all worth it for the tablet install i'm working on.

thanks J!

You're welcome, man...
I even used a rubber mallet on mine...CRACKKKKK
then I thought, fuck it, I'll just glue it after going on oemacura parts and seeing that it's a fuckin $250 part.

Not...
I think I ended up paying $60 plus ship...
I would do $75 shipped but I need to look for a box.

yea man i couldn't believe how much that piece costs from Acura.
hahahha love the last picture (that's the only one i focused on)!!

are there any differences between this one and a type s one? I don't think there is but i'm curious if you know off the top of your head (mounting points and camera routing all look the same...and i can add on my own type s chrome strip).

the holes aren't a big deal, if i was really OCD i could 3D print some hubs to fit that area. just curious, how come you put those holes in?

LOL, I didn't put the holes in, previous owner did to make it (a type s bezel) fit onto a base because apparently the holes don't line up from base to type s.
I'm almost positive IT is a type S one...was just modded to fit a base.

I have one for sale in my thread. Make me a lowball offer if you want since it's just taking up space in my basement. https://acurazine.com/forums/car-par...-parts-943257/

No problem, man!
LOL...I'm honestly down to bare bones parts so my motivation for boxing/shipping to pocket a few bucks has been dwindling! I'm glad that worked out for you, my friend.

I am...I really am...go check my thread...I posted a fun short video yesterday along with some after pics. It's a fun animal!
