UPDATE:

I tried to cut up the car this weekend, but it looks like the saw I bought was not strong/durable enough to cut through the metal beams. Sorry for the late response, I didn't see this thread being too busy so it slipped my mind to check up on Acurazine. All PM's have been replied and I'll keep it all for the people who've asked for the parts first.

Does anyone know can recommend a good saw to cut off the roof? I purchased something like this, but air powered:

http://www.aikencolon.com/assets/ima...ng-Saw-Kit.jpg

it doesn't cut through the whole metal beam (by the pillars) so I was just stuck cutting from different sides, but no luck.

So this weekend was no good, I gotta find another way/saw to cut open the roof. I did get a chance to clean up the seats a bit better, so I'll post up some pictures then. It won't be possible to get them all dusted off without being able to get inside the car.

@SpaghettiOs : I do have the rearview mirror. It'll be shipped in a medium/large USPS box $10-15 shipping, let me know which on you prefer. It'll be $80 shipped. Let me know. I can ship it this Saturday or Friday, since the money will have to transfer from my paypal to my personal funds.

Thanks for the update.

Was the issue that the blade was not big enough or there wasn't enough power?

Air tools are good but you need a big compressor to keep the power up.

An electric sawzall would be a better choice. Make sure you're using the right blade.

I'm not sure about the blade actually, it was whatever that came with the saw. My air compressor is only 6.5 gallon, but pressures on it have reached quite high, I used it to paint my friend's car (upwards of around 50-60 psi if left to pressurize)

The problem was just that the blade wasn't cutting through after about a quarter inch. I would press down, but the saw would sometimes stutter and not go about its back and forth motion.

My friend has an electric one which I am waiting for, so hopefully that can get the job done. But if anyone has experience cutting through pretty tough metal/steel, let me know what works for you.

Sounds like there isn't enough power to run it. Air tools that need to run for an extended period of time need a lot of air. HVLP sprayers do not need a ton of air.

The electric sawzall is your best bet.

hey how much for the rear bumper? I'm going to paint it NBP so no worries about superficial scratches or burls

does it have any deep scratches?

Yeah, let me know exactly what you want, you want it with the chrome piece in the center with the acura emblem? do you want the chrome top piece that's on the Hood? I'm saving that piece for the person who buys the hood, so the grill will be everything under that.

Yeah, it's good for you to pick up next week.

It's in fine condition, the ink (the "darkening" liquid) still works the last time I used it - I can take a picture of it to show that the mirror has no blemishes - which was a common problem in CL's and TL's a few years prior.

UPDATE:

Payments: please send payment via paypal under "gift" to avoid paypal fees. It'll be easier for me to just send you the tracking confirmation number via a PM (paypal's shipping form takes a while)

Also, I am only willing to ship items that can fit in the LARGE USPS Priority Mail box since I don't have time at the moment for anything larger. So anything larger than that I will prefer local meet-ups.

I'm not implying anything, just informing that paypal payments made as a gift will not allow you to make any claims, if necessary, since there are no items/parts involved.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah - that's correct. It's just that the fees add up and I'll rather have that money be spent on tracking the package. However I remember paying someone and you can list it as a gift, but I think you can specify that it's for "goods" or something like that.

The fees may not be significant for large amounts, but when I sell things for 10-20 dollars shipped, the 1-3 dollars here and there add up.

I'm on this forum all the time, some members who I've dealt with can vouch for me. I guess if anyone is unsure, then please add the necessary amount for the paypal fees

Are you selling the passenger side rear door interior panel as a whole? Or can I buy just the arm rest piece? It's coming apart on mine. It's the leather part that wraps around where you grab the door to close it.

I can't remember if it's a separate piece or integrated with the entire panel.

Yeah, that's perfect because the top part of it is a bit damaged from the tree - but everything below (including the armrest) is fine and my armrest is still together, so that works out perfectly.

It'll be a bit difficult to ship but let me know if you really serious about it - I'll go to the UPS store and get you a quote.

Does the arm rest piece separate from the door panel?? That's all I need. I don't need the entire panel. The leather is coming apart near the ashtray and the unsightly yellow foam is showing.

Yeah, that's totally fine - I'll have to include the panel WITH the window control --> I'll just send you the whole thing cuz the top part of my rear door panels are a bit messed up anyways - let me know if you're okay to pick them up. Or if you're too far and you're sure about getting them, I can pack them up and give you a quote.

Hey sorry, not major update - the weather' been really bad so I haven't been able to take any off - I just cleaned off the working area so I can start taking off more parts.

At the moment I'm very busy with exams and then it'll be the holidays - so I won't be able to fully get back to this project until after New Year's. I hope you all understand!

Of course, feel free to PM me for exterior pieces and also interior pieces so I know which parts to take off first when I work on the inside of the car- all PM's replied to.

Hmmm, that may be the VSA sensor? if someone can chime in- that would be great.

Did you try pressing the VSA button next to the sunroof/foglight switches?

FreSh AzImIZ: are the fog lights still for sale??? PM me
Yes they are - PM me if you are picking them up or shipping them.

sergi12: do you still have parts foe the 03 tl?
Yes I do, however, I'm holding the seat belts for another member here - I will let you know if that sale doesn't go through.

Jerzybo: PM'd you about center console
Hi, just saw ur last PM - I do have pictures, but you can check my other interior pics - the center console is fine, still shines like new - no scratches, etc.

UPDATE:

Sorry for not updating in such a long time, my finals ended right around Christmas and then New Year's popped up - so I just freed up my schedule to part out more from the car.

PRICES ARE NOW OR BEST OFFER

I need to pay tuition by the 14th - so please help out! It's my last semester at college, and I'll have to use the money for that.

Once again, parts ready to sell are the headlights, tail lights, ballasts&ignitors, type-s wheels, basically all exterior parts.
