I'm looking to buy a nice set of speakers for my 03 tl to replace my shit stock ones. Anyone have a nice set that fits right in. I dont wanna have to mod it for em to fit in, i just wanna quick and easy install. Holla atcha boyyy!

Ps. im just looking for front speakers right now.

nayaab some 6.5 will fit, some wont without a little modding, our doors fit 5.25 though. there is a thread going on i believe in the audio section

You know you'll need to replace the amplifier too right?

The stock bose amp is 1 ohm rated, and the stock speakers are a 1 ohm load. I don't think you will be able to get away with just replacing the speakers.

yea you can I dont think u will need a amp i know a dude that change his door speakers and was fine.

The TL's system must be different than my CL's system.

Is the amp in the trunk? or built into the head unit?

I could sell you the whole 3G TL surround system for $250, which includes the amplifier, 8" sub, 4 6.5" speakers (I think they are 6.5), 2 tweeters, and the center channel.

Yea CL i way different we have a sub in the rear deck and i heard the CL's dont. I think the amp is in the trunk i believe not to sure though kuz i kno you can hook it back up after you get a aftermarket head unit
