SOLD! TSX intake manifold and big bore throttle body

Ceramic coated TSX intake manifold and port matched to throttle body with matching TB gasket. The ceramic coating (not paint) is in titanium finish to serve as thermo barrier to keep the intake charge cooler. The throttle body is bored to 67mm inlet and 64mm throttle plate by Kingmotorsports. This combo yields much better throttle response and gains. These items are in excellent condition.

Intake manifold only is $140 plus shipping
TB only is $150 plus shipping

Intake manifold and TB combo is $260 plus shipping

Note: Keep in mind that the ceramic coating service alone is $140 and the intake manifold was purchased brand new. The TB service alone by Kingmotorsport is $150 plus the cost of a TB.

Some pics...

What other mods were on the car that this was dyno'ed on? Did it allready have an aftermarket intake?

Is this a direct replacement with the stock TSX and throttle body? Would one require additional parts prior to installation or is it a straight swap? Thanks! Pretty interested

The dynos were done with intake, header and exhaust. The before and after results represent the gains from the throttle body setup.

This is a direct bolt on, no other modification is needed. You will reuse all existing bolts/nuts and brackets from your existing manifold.

Did you use this on your TSX? Reason for selling?

Yes, this was used on my TSX. I'm in the process of trying other mods so I need to sell some items.

^^
Very noticeable difference as soon as you step on the pedal. The dyno chart shows the low end torque increased at very low rpm, and the gain is throughout the entire rpm range.

Does it take time for the ECU to adjust to the new setup? I would imagine there'd be a bit of an adjustment since there is less restriction on flow. Did you encounter any problems or is it a straight swap, plug and play type of deal?

It's a straight swap as mentioned earlier. No problem and perfect idle. The ECU will adjust to it in no time.

Will the bored throttle body mate up with my stock '04 intake manifold with no problems and still be effective?

What I mean is, is getting the bored throttle body worth it if I'm installing it on my stock intake manifold?

The throttle body will bolt up to the stock manifold but not sure what the result would be, as it was not tested with that combination. Ideally, it should be matched up with the correctly size manifold opening. You can certainly try it if you want.

Yes, it functions just like the 06 but with the benefit of the coating.

would you say the difference is comparable to headers? Does the thing like rev faster or pull harder or what? Pretty interested, i'm just curious as to how this will feel.

The amount of gain is very similar to my header dyno. The engine revs faster and pulls harder as a result, but it won't snap your neck off during launch.
