I had a set of the Type R speakers in my TSX for a few months. I found the tweeters too bright for me (metal dome), so I had the set replaced with some Boston Acoustics (soft dome). This set is in perfect working condition, and includes unused hardware.

When it was originally installed, the shop cut some metal from the doors; which was left exposed to the environment. The metal rusted, and some of that rust fell on the speakers. This rust is a sight nuisance only -- it has no effect on the performance or structure of the speakers. Nevertheless, I'm reducing the price of the set since they don't look "pretty". (Albeit, one could clean some of that rust off.)

Cost: $50 + shipping. OBO

They are 3" deep. Please check the spec page below. The specs are very similar to the model I'm selling.

I don't know about proper fit in a CL. You might want to check with a local audio store (or the CL forums).

With a spacer, yes. There was about 1/8" gap between rear of speaker and glass from the window. Albeit, one could get a bigger gap with a larger spacer.
