i am selling my 05 rims with tires. 2 of the rims have minor curb marks other than that they are in good condition. the tires have about 70% thread left. the tires are fuzions 235/45/17.ill check and see the exact model of fuzions tomorrow ill post pics once i take some and learn how to post them. selling for $500 picked up or $500 plus whatever shipping may cost

BUT, before this thread is closed i want to bring to the mods attention that he did not make note that one of the tires(235/45/17 fuzion zri) has a plug.

Are plugs safe in high speed rated tires? I thought they needed to be patched.

not that anyone is supposed to reply in this thread... but if its ok with the mods, i would like to know for sure whether or not highly rated tires need to be patched or plugged.

That's why I asked, and it's ok when it pertains to the sale.

I think plugs are safe at normal speeds, but if someone got the urge to see how fast the car could go it might not. But I'm no expert which is why I asked.

need to be patched. patches hold from the inside and they wont come out. and if its done right is should never leak. their is a big chance a plug can leak and can fall out (get pulled out) do to wear and tear on the tires.

i did not realized it needed to be patched and i honestly completely forgot about it being plugged and i asked strodda what i could do and he asked if i would help him pay for the new tire and i will be helping him pay for that
