how much of a dissapointment do you think a project organizer feels when it's a letdown of this magnitude?
Don't rub it in.
You havn't put in the energy and effort to do anything. No matter if the project organizer was motivated by profit or group benefit, Andy at least made the effort to help you all. Someone with balls and initiative to some degree.
I'm sure its a difficult learning experience for him as well as for you all.

Obviously, his supplier couldn't deliver that, but he also probably shouldn't have claimed it was nearly identical and asked for orders when (apparently) even HE hadn't seen the thing yet.
