Ron, not sure +1 your best bet? the link is to the Acura update 3.80 for $149 it's not bad I guess after 4 1/2 years that would be only about $30.00 per year!

Open your trunk find the DVD player (my 04 is up under the rear deck) and open the little door and push the eject button, the version is on the lower part of the disk. I'm not sure it you can check it from inthe car ..

Bout time they dropped the damn price on these a little bit. They still need to drop it another $100 for me to jump on it. I really want this damn upgrade but the price....rediculous. Ugh I still might buy it because I have no choice.

Just be glad you don't have a mercedes they charged my brother $255.00 for his and that was discounted from $350!

Actually if you look, Garmin, Magellin and other hand helds charge $99.00 per year for updates, so, I guess a $149.00 pop over 4 years isn't that bad.

V 3.8

I upgraded from I think 3.2 or 3.4, well, I don't really see a big difference from where we are and were we go.. probably a waste of $150.00 I don't know what 3.9 will be but I find that these updates are minimal... you can see the updates on the Acura website, Not much new in Tennessee

Upgrade

The Navteq site use to give a list of updates but I could not find it this time, I suspect that people were looking at that and figuring out that the changes did't affect their travel plans enough to spend the $185.00 .... but, I can tell you the changes will be minimal..

What I did is for $99.00 I purchased a Magellen GPS that is more up to date, if I run in to a problem with the Acura GPS, I pull that out and I'm good to go.. and, I saved $100 over and over again :-) With the cost of GPS's these day's it's hard to justify Acura's upgrade costs of the discs..

I just bought an 05 TL with 3.11 three weeks ago. I bought 3.90 and should be here on Thursday. I can see if u live in an area that is built up like where I'm from in NYC there wouldn't be a hardly any change with the updates. I just moved to VA. My house isn't in 3.11 since it's only a yr old. I took a friend to an interview yesterday using the navi. 25 mins according to the navi turned to almost an hr. It took me to where a road use to be. There was a freeway now blocking it. Hahaha. Plus lots of the intersections were now non exsistent since the freeway blocked those roads. Imagine your navi saying "Take the next right turn in 500ft" and there's a guardrail plus an exit a mile away. VA is quickly building lots of new developments. This is why it makes sense for me to buy the update. If I were still in NYC I wouldn't need it nor navigation
