Magnaflow resonator

Looks universal. Is this simular to a cherry bomb muffler?

Affirmative, it's universal, I don't know the specs for cherrybombs.

Yeah it could be. Though I bought this for a CL. Depends on what size piping your using for your exhaust.

Cherry Bomb is technically a glass pack. Glass packs have fiberglass material in the outside of the wider part.

This Magnaflow is a resonator, well if the description is correct. Resonators are hollow in the wider opening, and do not have fiberglass material.
