i have no idea how group buys work, so i might need some help... but i want fog lights!!
i've been looking at the fog lights on ebay, but i'm not sure if i trust ebay stuff. anyone have any experience with them? any input appreciated. thanks in advance...

The price an is definitely better than the dealers, however, you ppl might want to factor in the installation time.
In the other site, someone had installed the fogs, and it took quite a few hours, and he did not recommend it, unless you feel very comfortable taking off the bumper, and steering wheel. You might want to take a look see at the installation guide before considering tackling it.
Alternatively, you might want to price it out from the dealer's shop or any shop on install costs. I think Acura shops charge 2 to 2 1/2 hr for labour.
Either way, the fogs look great and further enhances the looks of our car, especially when you have the front skirt.
The only thing I am considering is replacing the bulbs with Sylvannia Silverstars...having all the lights near white makes it look that much better, IMO.

The fogs are a great addition to the looks of the TSX (even when they are not on ).
Install is not that tricky but it does require quite a bit of work. Could I have done it myself? Yes. Did I? No. Took the Acura dealer just under two hours for which they charged me $140 which, I think, is worth it.
The fogs do provide great illumination in the fog as it usually is every morning I go to the work in the dark. And when turned on, they are so white they you really notice how blue the HIDs are!
Unfortunately, after only having them two weeks, a rock has already taken out one of them (just my stinkin' luck). I was rather surprised to find that the covering for the fog itself appears to be simple plate glass (which is perfectly flat and not that thick which is likely why it was easy to break).
And I was told that the glass is molded into the fog housing so I have to order an entire replacement assembly. Cost: $110.53 (via Tim at HondAcura World).
I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the replacement lasts longer than the original since I can't see plunking this much down on a regular basis. I'm also hoping that someone will be able to come up with some form of cover to go in front of the glass to provide extra protection.
[Edited to correct replacement cost - stupid computer should have known what I meant!!!]

If that price is correct, I'm glad I didn't get the fogs.

so how much are your foglights? i just went on your website and there is no link to the tsx... weird b/c it was there yesterday.
i think i remember the price being ~$270. so 10% off would make it ~$243 + $4 (handling fee) = $247.
is that right hondacura?
so who's in for ~$250 shipped foglights?

As for eBay, you can totally trust the people you're buying from. Just click on the number to the right of the seller name to check their credit rating. i've been selling stuff on eBay for 4 years. You can trust about 90% of the sellers, but definitely check their credit. I'm not buying any accessories from the dealer because it's cheaper to get it on my own.

Install Instructions?
If it's $250 delivered to my door, I would most likely be in, but b4 I could commit, any chance of getting install instructions posted? I feel comfortable that I can do it, just want to know if it's worth my time, or should I plan on 2-3 hrs Acura labor cost. By the way, new to the board, new TSX (for my wife) should be delivered in about 2-3 weeks......

however, i looked on ebay and there are two sellers of tsx fogs. one of them sells it for $199 and the other sells it for $235. if i were to get it at that starting bid, i could get the $199 for $215 shipped and the $235 for $255 shipped (this is b/c i live in CA and i have to add tax). so for me i could only bid on the $199 one as a group buy would be cheaper than the $255 ebay auction. err... i dunno.

so after redoing the calculations, it comes out to be $255.50 shipped for fog lights.
again... i guess it might be cheaper to go ebay, but just wanted to see who would be interested.

bump....we need 4 more people to make this happen. just put it on your credit card and worry about the payment later.
or if you're like me, transfer your balances onto low interest credit cards. or even better, apply for the 0% intro APR on purchases and don't pay til next year.

FYI... I did the foglight installation myself and if anyone needs information about what all goes on during the process, PM me. If I get enough interest, I'll post my experience.
BTW, I did take some photos along the way to show what it took. The instructions do a great job, but don't tell the whole story.
Total time for my installation... 4 hrs (that's going very slowly and carefully)
Also, I had my foglight plates painted CG to match my car. Totally worth it!!!!

I'm out... for now. I think I'm the high bidder for a set on ebay. Pending the outcome of that, I may re-enlist.
