I have a genuine NBP Acura wing spoiler up for sale. It's currently still on my car but arrangements will be made if there is a buyer. I'd like to keep this local for now, but possibly would be willing to ship later on. I'm looking for $80 shipped obo. Not sure how fair of a price this is, so if someone has some helpful input that would be appreciated.

 

 

There are 2 small scratches as pictured, but other than that, the spoiler is immaculate.

Is this the same one (besides being OEM) that you can buy on ebay for about $80?

 

I think so, but I'm not sure about the quality of those

Doesn't this require a spring replacement due to the added weight?
Other questions; does it have the Acura logo underneath?
Did you drill holes in trunk or use tape?

 

Yes it does, but I might need the spring from yours in return. It does have the Acura logo underneath, as you can see in the pictures. I dont think its possible to tape this; I bought the car like this and it was drilled into the trunk. I'll provide all the mounting hardware. Let me know Thanks

I was wondering if you can tell me how you took the wing spoiler off. Did it leave any hole on your trunk? Also can you please provide me with a picture of the trunk where the spoiler used to be. Thanks. Good luck with the sell.

My friend and i used a dull knife and a blow dryer to heat up the glue and slowly pried off the spoiler. After that I used Goo Gone to clean up the adhesive residue and waxed the area to finish it off. It leaves 4 holes in the trunk but the Type S Deck Lid covers up the two nearer to the edge of the trunk. Sorry, I dont have any pictures, but let me know if you need more help. AD - sorry but I'm not looking to buy...just wondering if you can weigh the wing spoiler and let me know how much it weighs. Is there a difference between the Type S deck lid spoiler and the regular deck lid spoiler? Any idea what the weight of the deck lid spoiler is?

I was going to PM you but figure this would be a free bump!

 

The wing spoiler weighs ~3.6 lbs. and surprisingly i think the Type S spoiler is close to that. I didn't change out the trunk spring from the wing spoiler and with the Type S spoiler on it now, the trunk still pops open about the same as before. Hope this helps and thanks for the bump!

Does this come with the wiring harness and hardware? I assume you are still using the heavier torsion springs on your car. I need to check to see if I can get these. If so I might be interested, but need to see some better pics of the cracks.

 

It does not come with any wiring harnesses since there is no integrated third brake light, but I have all the mounting hardware. The only thing you would need are a couple of adhesive pads, which you can probably get from the dealer for cheap and a new spring for the trunk unless you don't care how high it pops. Sorry for the delay on updated pictures; I will get some up by tonight.

Thanks for posting the pics. I found a brand new one including hardware and trunk springs for $129 plus shipping from a Honda dealership on ebay. Since I was going to have to have either of them painted and buy trunk springs for yours, I decided to go with the new one. Yours is still a good buy, and it appears that the correct trunk springs are still available (for now) The foam padding for yours will have to be fabricated, as it only comes with the spoiler. But that shouldn't be that big of an issue. Thanks again, and best of luck.

Damn, almost 5 years later and this thing is still for sale . That is one hard-to-earn 80 bucks right there my friend. Somebody gotta help out this poor guy.
