FS (So Cal): AEM CAI
Don’t know what happened to my other thread (thanks for deleting it) but I still have my AEM CAI for sale.
AEM CAI – less than 4000 miles
Retails @ $175
My price: $100
Caveat, there are no rubber tubes for it. However, I have seen people use the factory rubber tubings and don’t even bother using the AEM ones.
BTW, I do NOT have the original box. Instead, I have fancy black garbage bags for transport.
THIS IS SO CAL CA$H PICK UP ONLY. Preferably in the west Los Angeles area.
I also have instructions and stickers and license plate frames...
PM or send an e-mail: twenty03type_s@yahoo.com
Thanks!

Sorry, but I am new to the TL world. What makes the intake able to fit into a Type-S and not in a Non Type-S? Looking that picture of the intake...it looks like it will fit in my non Type-S?
Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks for your help.
Looking at different sites, engine for TL is J32A1 and Type S is J32A2. Doesn't seem to be much different. Can anyone elaborate?

The throttle body tubing diameter is larger on the Type-S. That is why it will not fit on a non-Type-S.
AEM has separate part numbers for the CAI when it comes to the Type-S and non-Type-S.
AEM CAI part # 21-419 for
2001-2003 Acura CL Type-S
2002-2003 Acura TL Type-S
AEM CAI part # for non-Type-S is # 21-416 (same as Honda Accord V6).
