Why don't you just send it back to the dealer and get your full money back?

I can't believe you're going back to the old version
There is supposedly much much much more data on this disk... And It's supposed to be faster. POI's and all... You must live in a city where shit didn't change for the last couple of years... or maybe not

lol
of COURSE it's going to be slower. The DVD reader wasn't upgraded and wasn't intended to access that much indexed information. A ram upgrade would help. It's no different than taking a 20 hour tivo and bumping it up to 200 hrs (which I have done for lots of friends). It's something you live with. I for one will take the new disk when it's available, because in Rurals-ville PA, there ain't sh*t on the maps until the newest ones. 2.11c and newer. If you never travel then it's no biggie. The NYC map really didn't change that much. None of the metro areas did...
Of course when I get mine, I will make a backup copy in case I'm ever in an accident. Friend of mine had that happen and her DVD disk 'mysteriously' disappeared while at the body shop, and was somehow, '(divine intervention)' replaced with a downgraded version....seems NO ONE knows anything about it...
