FS: megan headers cheap (DFW only pickup) $50

Ok, I've had these in my closet for about a year now and need to get rid of them. Long story short, I installed them, drove with them for around a year, and could never totally eliminate the hissing sound upon acceleration. I took it back to the install shop twice when the sound got worse, and they would retighten and gasket it (which made it quieter for a while), but the sound never totally disappeared. It ended up pissing me off so much that I actually paid a mechanic to put my old manifold back on. He could not get the o2 sensor out because it was stuck, so you get a free o2 sensor with the headers. You could probably sell your existing one for a couple of bucks since you have to use mine (I think they are around 100 bucks new?). I am pretty sure all of the stuff you need is in the box. I think the shop that installed it said that I should use my stock gaskets instead of the megan ones because they suck? I have a pic but I can't seem to get it uploaded. I'll take 50 bucks for them (I paid 250 or 300 I think). This deal would probably be best for a DIY'er, so you won't lose any money on install if you can't get rid of the hiss either. I live in North Dallas and don't want to mess with shipping. If your interested, I can email you the pic.

I have an 02 tl type s. "Technically" they do fit, or they are made to fit anyhow. I don't want to scare you away from them, I just want to be honest and let you know what your getting into. Maybe if you could find some better gaskets then your stock ones, then it wouldn't leak. Maybe the hissing sound won't bother you. Anyhow, I live off of George Bush and the Dallas North Tollway. I go to school off of I35 and Walnut Hill, though (probably closer to you).

I think I paid around $150 to get them put on. Maybe if you got them intalled at a muffler shop (like b&b muffler), then they would have a better idea of how to put them on without leakage. I wish I had done this in the first place.
