FS: Intercooler Supercharger

I no there will be some questions about this direction which I will address in a thread in the 2nd gen section. This is by no means a definite path as I may still keep it as it is a joy to drive. But I am exploring options in an effort to compromise.

The kit is currently for the 6MT but could be converted to 5AT duty for a little additional $$.

It includes the following:

Comptech Supercharger kit (about 14k miles on it)
Comptech HBP
Custom SC Pulley
New Upper Intake Manifold with Integrated Intercooler Core
Supercharger Discharge Pipe and Coupling
Coolant Reservoir
High Efficiency Heat Exchangers
Coolant Pump
Hose and Clamps
GReddy E-Manage Main Unit, Support Tool, Ignition Harness, Injector Harness, PnP Harness
A-Pillar Mount (Gray)
Autometer Boost Gauge
Autometer Fuel Pressure Gauge

I was looking to get $5000 for this complete set up. That is about $3000 for the SC kit and $2000 for the intercooler system. I would prefer to sell it as a complete system and not part it out.

I haven't decided if I will pull the headers and sell them or even the TechEdge WBO2 monitor. The headers do have an electric exhaust cut out on them which may be attractive to some. If I do part out these items I will want the following:

Comptech Headers with electric exhaust cut out: $600
Tech Edge WBO2: $250

If anyone wants to buy the cars as it sits, it is a 2003 CL-S 6MT with 23k miles on it. It is now making about 370 WHP, maybe a little more and drives like stock when not on it. It also has Comptech Springs and Sway Bars on it. I'd take $28k for it, maybe a little less as I wouldn't have to mess with anything.

I'll take the headers as first dibs if you take them off.

After more thinking, I would probably let the car go as is for $27k. That would be like buying an '03 CL-S with just 23k miles for under $20k if installation of the items is considered.

This also has springs, sways, ported TB, two amps and a 10" sub. Not to mention the gauges are all in, etc. along with the headers and cut out (for when that is needed).

So, if anyone knows of someone looking for a 6MT CL-S and is planning on modding it, here is pretty good deal IMO.

You want to trade for my '03 TL-S and some money, Steve?

Good luck with the sale.

If the price were right I'd entertain any deal.

Alright, I'm going to talk to some people and figure out the money situation, see if this is doable without going bankcrupt.

Hey, Steve. I've worked out the numbers, but I have come to the conclusion that I would lose way too much money to Honda Finance. My car's a lease and although I'm going to buy it out for sure at the end, it just doesn't make financial sense to pay it off now and trade plus money.

So yeah, sorry, and good luck. I hope that you don't sell the car so you can keep doing R&D and being a pioneer for all of us. But either way, you're a legend on this forum.

$27K is an excellent price. Where were you 6 weeks ago? I'm going to have more than that into mine when I'm done and it won't be at 370WHP either.

As usual, you've got good solid logic backing your decision. Thanks for all you've done for the ACL Community.

Well, it looks like the blower and intercooler may be spoken for. If that turns out to be true then the headers, etc. will be next.

Wow, I may be driving a stock CL-S pretty soon, that will be sobering.

It looks the SC/IC system will be gone this week. So that is no longer available. But other items are still. I'll start a thread per item to keep them seperated.
