Great head unit. And his setup is nice and clean. I have almost the same HU without the cd player. Definately nice.

OK, does this unit have a built in DVD player, or do you have to purchase separately ? Does this also have the audio section, or needs a separate amp for audio ?

This unit does not have a DVD built into it. You have to add the DVD player. The way I had it set up was with my XBOX which plays DVD's, it does have a build in CD player on the unit, and the unit comes with a brain which holds all of its outputs and internal 45 X 4 amp and receiver.
