how well do these works, im guessing to touch up rock chips. Can i fill in a scratch thats not deep but is an apparent scratch that went down to the metal.

they work great amazing on chips, and very well on scratches. for scratches, i would recommend that you puyt tape around the scratch to avoid excesspaint....allow paint to dry for a few hours, then apply clearcoat

as for the price, i used to sell the pens straight out for 19.99. but since demand was high, it went down to 18.99 then 17.99. but to allow myself to offer the pens for 14.99 or less, i had to cut costs somewhere....by listing the pens under 9.99, i save 30 cents per listing (which adds up). plus i save around 20 cents on final value fees and so on.

so normally, i would sell for 9.99$ plus normal shipping, but due to competition, i had to lower my ebay price somehow, thats where the shipping charge comes in, but most people know theyre not paying 7$ for stamps....it entails all fees from ebay and paypal, shipping, handling, packaging, and the discount in "sale price"

i wish i could sell them for less, but as it is i already reduced the price by 6$ (and trust me, people were buying them at 19.99$. i get the highest possible discount from my supplier as it is since i usually buy in lots of 20 or more...sure if i were to order 100 pens i could maybe knock off an extra 1$ or 2, but i doubt there will be a demand for that many pens (and i dont hold more than 15 pens at a time....).

if you want to try and arrange a group buy, by all means, i would be more than happy to supply it

when im talkin scratches im talkin light scratches that are into the metal, maybe from like plastic wrapping scratching over it or something. im thinkin it might not blend it right? Anyways, im about to order one from you for the rock chips on my hood and front bumper.

 

it works on light scratches, but not as well as it does on deep scratches and chips (but i mean it cant be worse than seeing the black metal that you see due to the scratch on a silver car!)

should say that this pen is absolutely the best for rock chips and deep scratches....

 

Last question b4 i by, is this a fine tip pen, or is it thick like a sharpe...i want to know this so that i can be exact with the amount of paint i fill my car in with.

 

well by the pic it looks between fine and thick, just about medium....im confused how this pen works, do you squeeze and some paint comes out from the tip

 

the tip is like a rectangle (like a felt marker, but thinner)....to get the paint flowing, you push the tip up into the pen and it starts to flow. there are basic directions on the pen, and it is easy to use, but i would be more than happy to answer an application questions you may have

to cover up scratches, i would suggest putting tape around the scratch to avoid excess paint. you apply a coat (an another if necessary after a couple hours when the first one dries)....once painting is done, wait a few hours for it to dry and apply clearcoat.

 

just bought it from you on ebay. The color was nighthawk black. I hope it works really well for the road chips on the hood and such. Is it the same paint that is in the little touchup paint tube from acura, but easier to use? I hope it blends in well with the paint. Thanks!

 

yeah, its the same paint as in the nailpolish bottle, but less diluted (to give it more of a colour match)
