Habib - Your asking a premium for the car and are only likely to find a buyer in the AMG world. 71K miles is fairly high mileage for a 4 year old car. Although the AMG's are pretty solid, any work on the S/C on that puppy would run some bucks to address (If and when it should need it and since it's out of warranty...). Have you tried the C32 forum @ www.mbworld.org? That's where I found a buyer for my 2001 CLK55 when I sold it. Those guy follow that car and can be the BEST source for liquation. My 2001 only had 24K miles on it when I sold it in Dec of 2003 to a private buyer at only slightly over Good Trade In Value (It took me two months and the most the Acura dealership was willing to offer was "Fair" Trade In value even though the car was IMMACULATE and VERY LOW miles). The C32 and the CLK55 run nearly identical times but the CLK55 is not a S/C'd car. I still miss it but now-a-days my buddies who still have their CLK55's are "crying in their milk" because almost all the AMG's have taken HUGE depreciation hits. KBB shows Good trade value for your car @ $17,200. You can probably liquidate it on mbworld.org for slightly more (if the S/C is good).

Another note: Acura had originally offered me $42K sight unseen but then backed out once they saw the car. I think they had been planning on finding something wrong with it so they could low ball me but weren't able to justify anything so they just "Bailed" trying to steal it from me for $38,500. CarMax is usually a good source for value but these AMG's are pretty rare (at least they were back then) and they couldn't even give me a price on it. My efforts on mbworld were the only way that worked for me. Good luck!

I have sent it to some places for a straight buy out of my car and they have been over the $17k.
Mercedes dealers actually gave me the higher values and told me what I could get private value. It wasnt worth it to them to put on floor with 70k+ miles. I have had two people close to buying but both denied credit (one had low score--one bank wouldnt lend @ 70k+ miles).
I guess we will see what happens being it winter time isnt that great either. Thanx for the input.

if anyone can sell it for more than $21,500 you can keep the difference. Autotrader price is $22k so if you find buyer that buys it at 22k you can have $500

Understandable. That wasn't fair.

How about $9,000, your car for mine:

I'm looking to buy an E46 M3 vert so that I would do my car plus cash. Any other trades would have to be the other way around ("your" car + cash fo my car). Obviously I doubt you want to do that. Very nice TL just wouldnt be practical for me to have that and an M3.
