FREE: Labor Day Giveaway: SQ sub set up. Sub+Amp.
Now a giveaway for you 1st Gen TL guys. The sub system consists of an ACI SVI 10" sub and a Cadence TX 3002 Amp.
The ACI was a recent closeout at Madisound.
The amp is a short heatsink version blown out on Ebay. There was a disclaimer that the amp might thermal off, but many at DIYMA have been running these w/ good service. Say you get 400 watts instead of the rated 600 watts bridged and its still good due to the limits of the sub driver anyway.
These come with both a sealed 1 cuft and a ported 1.5 cuft. enclosure.
This system goes low and hits quite hard for a single ten and sounds pretty tight to boot.
And the price is FREE. But here are the stipulations:
1) Must be able to pick up at Thousand Oaks Socal 91360 'cause I won't ship anything so don't even ask.
2) Ya gotta express how you intend to use this and w/ what other components - preferably in your TL, but if not that's okay. The idea is to have a bit of fun here.
Okay let's let this run until Wednesday Sept. 9 8pm PST when I will choose the winner.
I know we don't have too many of us !st gen TL folk left and local so I hope I don't need to open this up the 2nd gen CL guys.
PS. There might even be a bonus.

Hi, I will start this out!
1: I will pack up and leave as soon as you tell me I've won.
2: I'm planning on changing out my current setup of Pioneer 4- and 5-ways, and my Rockford Fosgate sub. I'm looking at McIntosh MSS630 for the fronts, but I'm not too sure about the rears just yet. The ceiling midranges will be switched out with ones built for home theatre systems (can't remember the name, have it on my other comp), as soon as I can modify the basket and the housing to accommodate the added depth.
This is all being driven by a Pioneer P5700DVD, with separate amps for the lows, and the mids and highs. New amp for the mids and highs will be a Zapco I-450, unless I can find a good deal on a McIntosh MCC404M.
Deck will eventually be changed out, but I'm stuck between another DVD unit or the Panasonic CQ-TX5500W.

Thanks GOgoGO for responding. But aside from 555, there hasn't been much action on 1st Gen TL. Maybe we're a dying breed, and maybe that means my '96 2.5 is now a classic? Hmm...perhaps I gotta move the CLS-6 outta the garage and move the... Anyway, I just opened this up to the CL guys.

Thanks Biglizard for moving me to the BM since there seems to be more traffic here.
Thanks to those who responded, and maybe you could all embellish a little more detail like if you are looking for SQ or just some bump or both, what kind of music you like , maybe associated equipment like HU and speakers, and if these will go into your little cousin's Vinnie's car or whatever. Like I said have some fun. Why not posting is free ain't it?

Cool so if music choice is involved:
I listen to enka, loudly, along with Kraftwerk, Pavarotti, and Bach in (near) DVD-Audio. My deck will recognise the DVD-A discs, but not play them, so I encode everything as DVD-V audio.
Ashtech, Klute, Miles Per Second all find their way through my speakers as well.
