f/S Panasonic Mobile DVD Player
selling for $225 shipped...I bought it tried it out and buying the Alpine iva-d900
crithcfield sells for $429 on sale
Panasonic's CX-DVP292U DVD player offers big performance in a very small package. Its audiophile-quality D/A converter combines with an anti-shock memory and floating suspension to deliver reliable DVD playback (video monitor required). And this versatile DVD deck plays your pre-recorded CDs, home-recorded CD-Rs and CD-RWs, as well as MP3-encoded recordable discs. (Since you can "burn" up to 10 hours of MP3 music on a single disc, it's like having a CD changer that fits in your hand.)
A set of audio/video outputs connects the CX-DVP292U to your entertainment system — or use the optical digital output to link to an optional surround sound processor. A wireless remote control is included for your convenience, and the data terminal on the rear panel allows remote control of player functions via a compatible Panasonic video monitor.
Key Features:
* DVD Video and Video CD playback (video monitor required)
* CD and CD-R/RW playback
* MP3 playback from CD-R/RW discs
* high-precision 96kHz/24-bit D/A converter
* anti-shock memory
* decodes CD Text
* 1 set of RCA audio/video outputs
* optical digital output (for connection to optional Dolby® Digital/DTS decoder)
* RM data terminal for remote control via Panasonic video monitor
* mounting brackets included
* wireless remote control
* unit: 7"W x 1-15/16"H x 6-1/8"D; with mounting brackets: 9-13/16"W x 2"H x 7-15/16"D
* 1-year warranty

Hi Lou,
I just recently purchased a navi/dvd converter....would this work hooked up to just the navigation screen (no aftermarket head unit)? Where are you located, and what shipping method do you use? Let me know.
Thanks,
Patrick

so basically with this unit you can play a movie on your navi screen or play MP3 on your Bose unit CR,CD-RW and all the Mp3 texts are displayed on the screen....believe me the only reason why iM selling is because I bought the Iva-d900
