Comptech Supercharger CLS 6-Speed

For sale is a Comptech Supercharger for a CLS 6-Speed.

This is used with just over 87,000 miles on all the components. 85 to 90% of these miles are highway miles and this is my daily driver. The fuel mileage ranged from low 20’s to just over 30 mpg’s when cruising at close to the speed limit. Averaging 85% highway it was common to get 27+ mpg’s.

It was installed by my dealership in 2004 when the car had 15,000 miles and removed last month at 102,000 miles. My reason for removing can be found at this thread.

It has been very reliable and had absolutely no problems with it through the years. The only thing I did do was change the gear oil in the supercharger around 70,000 miles and replace the belt about 4 months ago. The car has its original clutch and not a hint of slippage. The new belt has only a few hundred miles on it and the old belt is included as a spare. Also if you read the above reason for removing, new spark plugs are also included.

The major components are all here but there are small things that you may need before it can be installed. All should be found at the local hardware store, Comptech or the dealership. They are as follows with the Comptech part number.

51R Battery-Fits Integra Type-R , the battery tray has some rust but is very sound.

Air box side bracket-300-057- this holds the air box to the side of the engine bay, small triangular piece. Also the bolts to hold the bracket on (6x14)-800-2002- You might be able to use the bolts removed from the stock battery tray but not exactly sure.

Air box adhesive clip-812-041- this is a small clip that holds the cruise control cable still. Not needed.

2 throttle body gaskets-901-152- reused 1 of mine, the second was torn to shreds during removal.

EGR valve gasket-805-027- I reused mine with no problems.

Cam seal bolt (8x30or35 the checklist and directions conflict)-800-3006-I had to leave one on my car.

Long alternator shaft spacer-355-120- my car did not need this, it depends on your type of alternator.

Also I would recommend purchasing a few feet of 5/16th inch hose for the fuel/coolant lines. At least 1 of mine was not long enough as delivered from Comptech so the dealer had to make their own. I am supplying the hoses I removed but no guarantee they will exactly fit your car. This is inexpensive hose that can be purchased at any auto parts store.

Finally the blower drive shaft will need to be resealed to the blower. This has been done by a few members here and doesn’t look to be very difficult. The links to those posts are here and here. It could also be returned to Comptech/Magnuson for a reseal.

All instructions are included.

This is as detailed as I could make it to give a truthful assessment of what is for sale. It is sold as is with no warranty what so ever. If something fails the day it is installed or 5 years later, I am not responsible.

I will not purchase what is needed and I will not seal it up, that is up to the buyer.

Payment will be through PayPal or cash in person.

Shipping will be buyers choosing.

Available for pickup from Milford, OH 45150, NE of Cincinnati.

$1200 OBO plus shipping.

Honestly I dont know. I dont think there is much difference but I know there is some on here that have done it. Do a search and see what you can find. I do know that you will want to add some cooling mods.
