hi, i wanan buy an o2 sensor for an acura tl, dealerships in ontario, want 240+cdn for the o2 sensor. ray lak is offeringme 125+dutys n such when it arrives.

Have you tried your local auto parts store?
Autozone in the US is selling them for around $70US.

what would i need to know? ie. part number or something. and i read that i gotta splice wires, dont i?

Usually they are a direct replacement, with the connector plug already on it that fits your car. All you need to tell them is the year and model of the car and they can look it up for you. I don't think there is much difference between US and CDN parts stores, unless there might be some kind of Canadian law involved, but probably not.
