The only car I'm really looking at for trades is 96-00 civic coupe ex/hx with manual transmission with the factory d16y8 engine still. Preferably 99-00. Depending on condition mileage mods etc will depend if I'll take an even trade or not.

HISTORY

Currently has just under 96,000 miles.

Bought it a few months ago from a used car lot. It was a lease vehicle in FL before going to the auction in GA where this company purchased it. I don't really have service records other than what is listed on the carfax (everything done through a dealer since it was a lease vehicle). It does have a CLEAN title.

The only thing I know of being replaced is the vehicle speed sensor (was done the day before I picked it up, I have the invoice)

The car runs and drives and shifts wonderful. Very comfortable, roomy. It handles about the same as my old 92 325is BMW did.

The only thing wrong with it right now is a check engine light for insufficient EGR flow. I have a friend that is a mechanic for Acura, says he will fix it for me for $40. So hopefully he will have time to fix it in the next week or so.

There are only a few VERY tiny dings a camera probably wont show on the entire car. And a few scuff spots on each corner of the bumpers (most of which somebody tried to cover with touch up paint)

When I bought it in the middle of Feb. this year.....I paid $7900, $8450 after dealer fees and such. I dont expect to get that back really.... But going off that.. make offers without low balling.

KBB says private party value for good condition is $6900, excellent is $7500. I'd rate it between the two as a harsh critic

UPDATES: READ EVERYTHING HERE I know I forgot about this thread and let it fall off but....

today's date is 8/30/2007.

The CEL is no longer on, the EGR + pipes have all been cleaned out by Crown Acura here in greensboro. The o2 sensor had also gone bad, this was also replaced about a week ago by Acura.

A technician told me that b/c of some extended warranty on the 97 3.2 on the emissions system or something, all of that was covered by Acura.

Also included by that free extended warranty (which is good to 150k miles) I can get ONE free full tune-up. Changing plugs, wires (or coil packs, whatever form is driving that engine), oil change etc...

The car now has just over 100,000 miles on it as well, with new kumho tires.

New price is $6600 obo

 

back up from the dead. had to get some things dealt with financially before i could worry with selling the car. Finally got rid of my motorcycle... now it is time to push the TL.

todays date 11/07/2007. current mileage to date is 103,7xx

bump... it is about to get that tune-up via acura dealer...

the only things wrong right now would be it needs the outter tie rods replaced and it is time for the timing belt to be replaced. that is why it is priced where it is...

 

bump b/c I had its little tune up at acura done 11/14/2007. Got new plugs and coil packs... about to get anther oil change and probably fuel filter changed.

 

Back from the dead yet again... Closing on a house and need some money to help with that...

since last post in November I have replaced:

Front brake rotors
Front brake pads
Fuel Filter
Air filter

Just hit 110,000 the other day. Will be sold with stock CD player which works perfectly.

Somebody please shoot me an offer... Willing to work with the original posted price a little... Clean Title in Hand!!!!
