CLOSED! FS: 2006 GTO/Monaro
Is your CL wearing out?
Are you tired of waiting for Acura to announce a replacement?
Are you hungry for more power within the fat ass coupe form factor?
Take a look at this. The Holden Monaro, rebadged and sold in the US as the Pontiac GTO may be what you're looking for:
400hp/400tq
Rear drive with independent suspension
6 spd manual trans
Great brakes
Seats comparable to the CL-S
This particular example has been partially converted back to the Monaro, using genuine GM Australia parts - Bumper/grill/lights, sidemarkers and badging. It also features a factory style bluetooth setup - something extremely rare in these cars.
17,000 miles
18" wheels 70% tread left on the Hankooks
Tinted windows and tails
The color is Cyclone Grey Metallic, although it's more of a blue, like the pictures show.
$24,000
I'm only selling because I have been unemployed for 4 months and need to downsize. It breaks my heart to let her go, almost as much as I hated letting my CL go... I've never raced it, In fact, I've never done a burnout (though I do sometimes break the rear end loose going around corners)
Scoff at Mustangs! Thumb your nose at Hemis! We're talking LS2 here. Just the exhaust sound alone is enough to give you a woody.
Far and away the best performance value. Stop dreaming and start steering with your right foot!

Nice car, beautiful color and tastful Monaro conversion. I'm surprised the gauge faces are red. Is that original with the grey or were those changed out? Great description BTW, when I was reading it I kept hearing an infomercial host's voice in my head.

Yeah, I was gettin' my marketing on, that's for sure. Saturday night, what can I say?
The red gauges are stock. Hardcore converters change them out to get rid of the GTO logos and to have "Holden" appear on the start up LCD, but I'm not that anal. I just like the Monaro look better than the Pontiac twin grills.

Wow...looks great. They never sold this car in Canada so it would be cool to have one here. Good luck w/ sales and love your conversion.

Free bump for a nice Monaro conversion (although you left the Pontiac wheel cap emblems ) and a great performance bargain. You might already have done this, but I would post this same marketing pitch to the Pontiac and Chevy boards...a Camaro owner would love to have this car (we all know the GTO was a stopgap until the new Camaro comes out next year).
Good luck
Good luck

If the car was still for sale locally I would have bought it hands down here, but it was discountinued in '06. It was my favorite car at the time. I test drove one in the dealer and wow, its a bad a.. car. With the matching interior and guages. its too bad its not around anymore. What a shame. Now I got my TL-S and I love it!
