Bisimoto Stage 2 Cams for 3G TL
Category: Engine - Power Adders
Price: $650
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G, TL 2G, Type-S Model
Location (State/Prov/Terr): AL
Item Condition: Used
These cams increase duration from 236 to 255 and generate 423 lift @ .050
I had these cams ground by Bisimoto in June of 2011 (see stamp in picture below), installed them in Sept 2011, and put 20k miles on them before getting a new set for my race build. There are no adverse signs of wear on these cams such as uneven lobe wear. I have personally proven that the stock ecu is able to control these cams. While not one person except for myself has any experience with running level 2 cams on a stock ecu, I trust that you would believe me on this. If you have a higher mileage motor, Bisimoto recommends replacing your factory springs and retainers with upgraded ones which will ensure reliability for miles to come, though stock valvetrain should be just fine...especially on an Automatic transmission, where there is less risk of mis-shifting (over-revving the engine) which might cause valve float.
All in all, you are getting an excellent set of cams for $500 cheaper than having to buy a set of core cams, ship them to Bisimoto (or purchase cores from them), and wait 4-6 additional weeks to receive them back.
If you want dyno proof of my 2005 5AT acura TL Making 284 wheel horsepower on a stock ECU with these, please see below. I also have a video that I can upload while at Slowmotion Motorsports in Sunbury, Ohio in Sept 2011 shortly after install. These cams are fully capable of making 320+ whp when tuned on a Megasquirt or other, as I proved on the drag strip with a loaded weight (with driver) of 3850lbs and trap speed of 103mph.

I'm running close to 60,000 miles (57xxx). Would it be recommended to have my springs & retainers be upgraded at that mileage (5AT TL-S)? If not, when is it recommended?
Hope you still have these in a couple weeks when I have the cash, esp. if these will run without me needing to do any tune. Could you please upload the video as well?
Otherwise, GLWS.

Sale pending payment...I will keep you guys updated.
In the mean time...here is some info,
They will work on the older engines like the J32a2/J35a3 privided that you purchase a washer for the end of the cam where the pulley attaches. The older engines had slightly longer cams. This is the only difference, and its its pretty common to do this for Accord and CL/2nd gen TL guys.
It went down a few MPG, nothing much on the highway. City was worse though.
