3G TL ASPEC Wheels (18x8.5)

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $650
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): CL 2G, RL 2G, RL 1G, RSX, TL 3G, TL 2G, TL 1G, TSX 2G, TSX 1G, Other Honda/Acura, Type-S Model
Location (State/Prov/Terr): CA
Item Condition: Used

When I bought my TL it already had aftermarket wheels on it and the person selling it threw in the original A-SPEC wheels as part of the deal. I've been wanting to sell them for a while and I'm just finally getting around to it now.

They are in pretty good condition, they have a little curb rash but its not too bad. Other than they they have no denting or anything. I just cleaned them today before taking pictures although there is still some brake dust coating the insides of the wheels. I'm asking $650 OBO, so I may be up for a little negotiation.

I live in the Bay Area and I would prefer an in person sale, but shipping is okay too. If they are going to be shipped it will be at the buyers expense.

PM me if you are interested or email me at mattinthehat93@gmail.com

They are 8.5"

You can tell because it has no "lip" around the outside like 8"s do.

You can see that the rim in this picture has a lip around the outside where the spokes end.

OP has the real deal "rare" 8.5", just not in gun-metal.

glws OP

Wow interesting, I thought 8.5s only came in gunmetal. GLWS.

This is the first time I have ever seen the 8.5 in chrome. IMHO, I think the person that sold the OP the car had the wheels dipped in chrome??

OP- can you post pics of the underside so we can see part numbers?

Here, i hope these pics help. If they are of the wrong things just let me know. I also don't know if the original owner had them dipped in chrome or not, but it could just be that the photos are making them look weird.

Actually, now that i look more closely at the wheels and at the undersides, i think that you may be right, i think they were chromed at some point or another.

I just looked at the actual wheel instead of the pic, and the "A" in this cap is about 1-2mm higher than the other ones. In the picture it looks like its also a little bit to the left, but thats just the lighting i think.

I've always wondered....do people value the 18x8.5 a-specs more because:

1) slightly more aggressive fitment
2) gunmetal color
3) wider footprint
4) just because they are rare

????

I'm actually not entirely sure why, I would assume that more often it is because they are more rare.

wider rims can support wider tires will still fitting flush.
Wider tires and rims= greater tire/ground contact surface area.
greater contact surface area= greater friction.
greater friction = greater traction
greater traction= greater life

i am like 90% sure they have been dipped in chrome because Acura does not put their chrome look texture in the inside of the rim. IMO this makes the deal even better.maybe its not original but its not like an original set is gonna be worth more than a set of rims in the future anyways. hmmm my aspecs have rash from the previous retarded owner, i wonder how much it costs to do this...

if you are in the market jump on these. I would in a sec if i didnt already have aspecs.

i would get these and slap some fatty 265/40/18 on them

i like my tires like i like my women.....thick, but not round

When price dips down to $600 I'll drive my ass down there and pick them up. Got my 19" A-Specs but I need a set of winter rims. Mine took a beating this winter and already have nicks on my year old wheels

even the 18x8 chrome aspecs would go for more than $300, thats a low-ball offer.

OP, there are plenty of people out there who actually want to chrome finish aspecs, just give it some time.

Yeah, i'm just a bit anxious i guess. With the money from these rims i'm getting Tein type basic suspension, and i'm really looking forward to that.

Wheels are still available, would very much prefer local buyers or an in-person sale. Current asking price is $600.
