3G TL to Acura RL Brake Conversion parts.

Category: Brakes
Price: $600
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): IL
Item Condition: Used

Relisting these as my car is going up for sale soon. I never had a chance to install this kit.

Just looking to get close to what I paid for these parts.

Included are 2 nice Acura RL low mileage front calipers with the word "ACURA" on the sides. And the custom caliper brackets to make these fit the BASE TL knuckle.

The only thing you will need is a pair of 2005 Nissan 350z Brembo rotors which I picked up at the auto parts store for $90. I will sell them LOCAL ONLY with the rest of the kit otherwise shipping them will be very heavy and I can just return them for a refund instead of losing money on those.

Here is a thread of another member that did the same conversion. Same parts, except my calipers are stock black, these were painted blue.
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=760612

$600 OBO shipped for calipers and brackets.

$650 OBO LOCAL which will include brand new rotors.

Can u post pictures of the "brackets"? Curious to see what they look like.... also, why 350z rotors n not the rotos from a 04-08 TL m/t?

Here are what the brackets will look like below. These are not mine but the same thing. I can take pics of everything when I get home tonight.

The reason for 350z rotors is because they have the offset needed to use with the brackets and the larger diameter.

no, selling this complete unless you offer a really good price for the brackets alone.

This conversion IS cheaper than a BBK. You are getting big RL calipers, bigger than the cheapest wilwood/fastbrakes calipers and bigger rotors, 350z 320mm x 30mm.

I dont know were you got that info from, but a 4 wheel conversion for a few hundred bucks??? links?? I didnt even know you could do this on the rears on the TL being that is has drum style discs.

I spent about 700 bucks getting this for my conversion -

It is by far the easiest thing i've done on the TL, you can even use the same brake lines to keep it cost-effective.

Thanks Spectro, this conversion is far cheaper than whats out there. Here are my pics, the calipers need to be cleaned in brake cleaner. I didnt have time to work on this.

That's great, did you ask him his lead time? When I ordered it was a good 4 week wait.

I am also selling this as a kit, I'm not splitting it up.

That's like putting a car up for sale and then someone asking you to just sell the windshield. Sure you can sell the windshield but the value of the car goes down.

I paid good money for the calipers which have 22k miles on them and still have the original pads with a lot of wear left on them.

Selling this for 450 shipped is taking a good loss for me. And its $450 obo. Unless you have an offer to make or have questions about the item for sale please stop cluttering up my thread.

Since you won't sell the brackets separately I have deleted the posts about them and their pricing so we won't have to worry about them anymore.

What other parts are needed besides the 350z rotors to install these onto my 2005 auto? And also could you have it powder coated for a bit extra?

As far as I know there is nothing else needed, the stock brake lines go right in.

I don't powdercoat, sorry.
