it didnt work in my 04, so I'm assuming it wont work in the 05 neither

Halfway through 07 I beleive they changed the case so it has a 50/50 chance of bolting up to an 07 and 100% chance bolting up to an 08. Anything basically before 07 it won't mate up to the engine.
