The bike has never been laid down but it has fallen over in my drive way. My drive way in on an incline and I was teaching my younger brother how to ride. When he turned in, he paniced and hit the front brake too hard and before he put his foot down the bike fell. The frame slider took most of the impact but I had to touch up a small scratch (nickel size) on the right fairing.

No, in the sportbike world "laid down" means the bike went sliding down the street at XX mph, involved in an accident, or it was in either a high/low side wipe out.

In this circumstance the bike fell over at 0 mph. Therefore refered to as "dropped".
