As far as I know CT doesn't use magnaflow mufflers. Take a picture of the underside, it should have a comptech logo engraved at the bottom of the muffler. That's how you know its genuine.

I bought it off someone who use to work at Comptech this was one of there test sample and is 100% Genuine It has little to no miles of usage on it. They used magnaflows back then but changed it up later. Also now the whole entire exhaust is chrome which is why its $650 only the tip on these is chrome which is why im selling it at this price. That doesn't put it aside from not being a Genuine Comptech product.

Who did you buy them from? I know most of the guys that worked for Comptech back in the day. We (Tim P. and other OGs from the original Acura board) helped bring most of the Comptech products to the TL/CL market.
Test sample? Are you kidding me?
And they were never "chrome" they are polished stainless.
Honestly it looks like someone just welded a Comptech tip onto a Magnaflow can.
I remember seeing a long time ago (before Comptech got sold) tips for sale on their website.
It's not a bad deal for what they are: Magnaflow cans with Comptech tips, but no way they are real Comptechs.

Oh man I just realized there are no flanges on the ends of the pipes. So someone is going to have to pay a muffler shop to weld on new flanges.
If this was a test sample how would they have been test fit? You'd have to break out a welder to install them. Sorry but this FS thread becomes less and less believable by the minute.

Comptech actually used magnaflow mufflers for the longest time, then switched out later to something else because the magnaflows weren't as durable as they would have liked them to be. Thats what I remember from a conversation I either had with Nate or Ryan years ago.
