07-08 3G Base blacked out headlights

Well I did these for a member who waited through the list but I was told today that he lost his job so is no longer interested in doing the core exchange program.

Details

07-08 Base model headlights
Blacked out V1 (V1 means version 1 i.e. the whole turn signal reflector is painted)
Paint used is matte (flat) black

I usually charge $150 for labor and $25 for the core exchange program but due to the fact that I have already finished these I will waive the trade in charge.

Terms

- Potential trader will send a deposit of $400 through paypal and I'll ship the headlights to them.
- Once they receive the headlights they'd have to send their OEM 07-08 Base model headlights back to me.
- Once I receive their headlights I'll issue a partial refund through paypal
- Partial refund = $400 - $150 - shipping cost I'd endure to ship these headlights.
- Headlights will come with a pair of custom made foam ballast washers and one year warranty against fogging/leaking.

Again, this is for trade thread only and trade only for 07-08 base model headlights. I am not selling the headlights as they are dedicated to my trade in program, details to my headlight modifying services can be found in the following thread

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=641022&page=1

I have the actual headlights sitting at work so detailed pictures will be up on Monday but following is what they look like, the only difference is that the whole turn signal area is painted flat black rather than how it is partially left chrome in the picture below.

Hey JnC,
I'm very interested but I have one question. Did you remove the diffuser? I don't see one in the picture, so I'm wondering how the turn signal would look.

The amber diffuser was removed and the turn signal reflector in the back was completely painted flat black.

Turn signal would still work but you'd have to get a pair of chrome or amber 7443 bulbs from ebay since the stock 7443 bulbs are clear, either that or you can get 7443 switchbacks from V-leds.

here is what the chrome 7443s look like

Would there be anyway you could put the diffuser back in? I remember seeing you do this on another set, but I think you cut it in half or something like that.

how about you reopen them... add a projector to the daytime running lights and paint the black matte silver and I'll buy them off you out-right... I have nothing to trade...

I'm pretty sure 07-08 front signals are 1157, not 7443.

Would you be interested in type-s headlights?

Only Type S uses the 1157 turn signals

Front turn signals:
04: 7443
05: 7443
06: 7443
07 base: 7443
07 Type S: 1157
08 base : 7443
08 Type S: 1157

That said the above headlights look like Type S headlights to me not base headlights.

These headlights are from a base model and the only difference between base model headlights and the type S ones is the turn signal.

To make these work for your type S you would need the bulb

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-Pai...Q5fAccessories

and also a pair of turn signal bulb sockets, acura part number 33302-S5A-A01

Sockets go for $7 each and you can either pick them up at your local acura dealer or from the following link (item number 16 pictured and listed on this page)

http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

To compensate for the fact that people with type S headlights would have to buy the two bulb holders I am willing to reduce the price to $125 for the trade for type S owners.

That is a saving of $50.

ROd, I know you have brought up the idea before as well, find me another set of base model 07-08 headlights and I'll make you a quad projector set since I have found out a set of projectors that do fit the opening and will clear in the back
