*** 2g TL Used Tanabe Medallion Catback Exhaust ***

pics to come tomorrow.

its currently on my car, im looking for a trade+cash, or if i can source my own stock exhaust, ill just sell it for $400 OBO.

Feel free to lowball, all you can get is a 'no'.

it was made for a v6 coupe accord, i think, and a small piece of piping was added to allow it to fit the Tl body. I had previously painted the canisters flat black to make them a little less noticable. if anyone wants better pics, i can strip the paint off. other than that, its in great condition, for a used exhaust. i have a couple vids of what it sounds like as well... ill find them.

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-116/tanabe-hyper-medalion-exhaust-installed-pics-sound-clips-vids-600277/

there's an old thread with pics of when it went on. I'm sure it could use a fresh application of hightemp black, but other than that it's gonna look the same. I migh have to clean the tips though. But you get the idea.

Sorry the vid links at dead. I do have recent ons though. I'll find them when I'm off

for whatever reason, it was welded at the flange before the "Y", so ill have to cut to ship, unless its a local buyer.

on a sidenote, if i dont get any traders...

i dont know off hand. but im assuming its 2.5", and then it splits to a little smaller after the 'Y'.

all i know is that it does its job. with this exhaust and xs headers, the car made 227whp.

Ha same here.........but sooo many people dont want to ship big items. I am still contemplating this.......how long have you owned it, how many miles? any snow salt rust on the piping that looks bad other than surface rust?

ive had it for a couple years, i have no idea about the mileage. i could guess between 15-20k. i have always had another car for my daily.

Like he said, I should. I believe the 98-01 accord uses alot of the same stuff. Byw, I also am trying to sell a set of ksport coilovers, which were actually meant for the accord.

im thinking in the $300 range +s&h. im selling for so cheap because the rear driver shock is blown. it rides fine, since i have them on the softest setting... which is still fairly firm compared to the tein ss', which i had previously.

i contacted ksport about replacing the messed up coilover and they told me it was about $100 for the new parts. i never fixed it, because it never bothered me. im not even sure how long it had been blown for. i only noticed because i was messing around with them, and was fully stiffening them all around, and that one didnt.

considering theyre $900ish new, $300 for the condition theyre in isnt bad at all. but PM me, if youre interested, im sure we can work something out.

the only reason im selling them is because im going back to stock. my wife and i are trying to have a baby, and the ride wont be good for a pregnant wife, or a soon after infant. not to mention she drives the tl mostly now, since i got another cb7.

this exhaust was from an accord v6 coupe. a pipe was added to extend the length to properly fit.

check out pic #5, the last one. that piece added w/flange, bolted to the cat... that was added.

because it was lengthened to fit the TL........the CL's exhaust is about 3 inches shorter due to the length of the car. You could just shorten it back up again and it will be fine......pending where you shorten it to make sure the hangers still line up....

exactly what he said. any muffler shop can cut out the extension and weld the flange back on. and they can add a hanger, if need be, in a matter of seconds.

yea, if youll pay for shipping, i have no problem with it.

do you have a stock exhaust you can trade with? or do i need to find my own? the $150 was with exchange.

and if you can afford for your car to be out of commission while the new exhaust arrives... i give you my word i will be ready for your stock exhausts arrival. and i will ship out the tanabe the very next morning.
