Hi guys...
I'm going to pickup my '05 TL at the end of the month from Acura-of-Markham (ON). Anyone dealt with them before and things I should look out for when I pick it up? Are they shabby and in anyways? Any bad experiences? I know kinda late asking now, but late better than never.
Cheers

Need referral for body repairs and small paint job
Hi Guys,
I also have a '95 Accord, 4dr, EX, Redondo red. 89Km. I want to bring some life back into the car but I don't know anything about repairs. Does anyone know of an outstanding, credible, and professional body shop in the GTA/Toronto area for referral to perform the work below?
Work that needs to be done:
1) Repair rust on wheel well and repaint
2) Front left body been damaged (above wheel well scraped against pole); requires fixing of large dent, scratches, and paint work
3) I want to replace the stock 14" with something more decent but been confused on choices as it's only 4 bolts and not 5. I don't think any 5 bolt rim will simply fit on my 4 bolt 'axle'?
4) Car doesn't handle as well as it use to, acceleration is weak, engine noise at 110 km/hr mark but not before or after; not sure what I can do to bring it back to life. Sorry, being vague here.
5) Kickback on the brake/gas pedal are not as forceful as they once were, how do I tighten them up?
I don't know car mech terminology... and I don't have a mechanic buddy. But I do have the ambition to learn! Help much appreciated!
Cheers
BTW, the previous owner was my mother, hence the beatup, but the interior is immaculate, not a single spec of dust!

Vibration
So there have been many threads that dicuss the vibration problem in this forum. I wanna know if there's any Canadians who have this problem?
I usually drive in city and therefore didn't go anywhere faster than 100km/h, but today i drove on highway and I could feel some real bad vibration when I got close to 100km/h. Has anyone in Canada who owns a 04' TL had this problem? And if yes, what have you guys done (like did you guys take it back to the dealer)?
btw, I am still driving on EL42. although i am planning to replace them. It's simply disgusting to have this problem.
Input needed, tks.

Replace the EL's and I bet there is a very good chance your problem will be solved. I switched to Potenzas RE750's and have had no vibs at all. If you were planning on changing the rubber anyway I would do that first before you go back to the dealer.

Hey all,
I am from Montreal.
I just received my 2005 Pearl TL Dynamic 6 speed with factory body kit and am loving it.
I want to put 18" wheels on it and am having trouble finding wheels that fit with the Dynamic Package. Any suggestions?

Choices are:
Acura's 18 inch wheel upgrades
or
Ron Jon design wheels (check the website here for RonJon as he is one of the regular)

Those can use the FM Radio to play the sound on your system or with the use of an Auxiliary Adapter, be wired direct like an MP3 player.
I do not know anybody who has subscribe to XM in the US from Canada but know several people who are Sirius subscribers.

New Sask owner
Just picked up a 2005 WDP 5AT TL on the weekend in Regina .. pretty sweet ride but I'm a little pissed that I now see in the owner's manual that you can't tow anything with it. I have a small utility trailer (4x5) that I've pulled with other FWD unibody vehicles for trips to Home Depot; landscaping supplies; hauling a go-kart; etc. Found a few hits with the search but it appears the big risk is having Acura disallow any transmission claims otherwise I'd just got ahead and do it. Any Canadian experiences?

Hey guys, I'm in Fort Frances, Ont. about 200 miles west of ThunderBay on the Minnesota border.
I've had very few "issues" with my '99 and tranny is fine so far. Only 52000km (32,000mi).
What I'm wondering... is there a site I can get access to that lists Technical Service Bulletins
(TSBs) for Canadian Acuras. I'm about 4 hours one way from dealers so don't get in to see them much and am wondering if there are any TSBs I should be aware of. Thanks for any help.

Hey there Brampton ONT 06 AT with Navi. Does anyone know a way to have it exclude the US addresses during searches? if I typ in a name lets say "lee Valley" (the tool place) it brings up US addresses and not the Lee Valley addresses in ONT or Canada. Not that I want to eliminate our friends to the south, i would just like to narrow the searches.
Any help would be welcomed

Need Help from Canadian TL Owners
At the expiry of my wife's Taurus lease later this month I had intended to get a Honda Accord EX V6 Auto. That was until we drove the TL. I was always under the impression that the TL was a dressed up Accord. Not even close. This is a wonderful machine to drive. The deals offered by the Honda and Acura dealers are both pretty good with the TL coming in around $100. per mo more than the Accord.
This was almost a no brainer until I started reading some TL forums discussing rattles, pre mature tire wear, etc. etc. The Accord has an impeccable history. I was under the impression that the TL would as well.
So what about it TL owners? Is this stuff true? Would you buy another TL if you had to do it again? Future value is important to me as well.
I would really appreciate your help on this.

I own an '04 NBP AT and I have almost no rattles (small one in the pass. door when a song with big bass is turned up), the car has been great and I plan on purchasing the new Gen TL when it is released in a couple years.

In a-nut-shell, I have been driving my '02 TL since June of '01. I have about 39k Km on the clock and yes the gets babied, It does not see any snow, ice or road salt etc, effectivly it becomes a hangar queen at the first sign of snow that will stick to the ground.
I really is a great pleasure to drive this car. For all the options -standard- on this car, it really is a good "bang for the buck" say compared to a Beemer which came in second because of all the options at a extensive price, ie: paint selection....!!!
The ONLY thing that gives me a little worry is the infamous tranny problem. So far I am clear, but I dont have the Km's yet to see if I am really off the hook.
The concensus on this board is this tranny issue is quite random and can strikes at any moment. ( that is for the TL of this generation).
In short , YES I would buy another TL assuming (foolishly...???) that Honda/Acura has resolved there tranny issues.

Vancouver here.
05 Anthracit 5/AT w/nav. Had the car since October 05 and had a few problems. Squeeking glovebox and front passenger side seat railing, front rotors are warping and with extreme brake dust. Nice to meet you all and hopefully we'll be able to set up a meet sometime soon. My car is completely stock but looking into slapping on some goodies.
