Yeah, my first thought was that it was night. I think the black Hiss tank being out of focus makes the whole photo seem like it's night time.

It could be that I've learned to use the BTS shot as a cheat sheet and now rely on it when I shouldn't, but I often find myself noticing details in the BTS shot, where I then refer back to the production shot to see the detail that I missed.

I think it's just laziness on my part, and not spending enough time taking in the production shot. In this one, I didn't notice the hand on the skull on the ground until I saw it in the BTS shot. I appreciate the level of detail you put into these, and it make me wonder how much I miss in everyday photos that I look at.

 

Just little subtleties. Great if you catch them, not the end of the world if you don't.
