Tonemapping

Can you guys give me some tips and advice on tonemapping? I'm using photomatix pro 2.5. Here's a pic that I did haha

There's really not much dynamic range in this image to have to worry about tone mapping. I'd just stick with a single exposure and conventional processing techniques here.

It's easy to overdo it with tone mapping...

Yeah no doubt about that lol. How do you get that reflection though, like rimz's picture? In mine, the car came out really flat with barely any reflection in the front.

It's just a matter of increasing the contrast, either with just a contrast layer or a tone curve...

looks like you're getting the jist of it man...did you copy the settings i used in that screenshot i took? ...it's the contrast or something that's missing and not giving you that reflection look....

by the way you're mailbox is full...

photomatix is great for HDR shots, where the tonemapping really plays a big part....on a single exposure, not so much, although stll makes a difference!

Looks good though, just keep playing with the settings....
