The tiger cubs born at the National Zoo in Washington DC on August 5th went on public display today. The weather was perfect and they were out in the pen with mom for about an hour and a half.

Would have loved to been there today, maybe in a few days.

As long as the temperature is above freezing they should be out. They will come out every day at 10AM for at least an hour.

Went back to see the cubs just before Christmas. I've been recovering from cancer surgery so just now getting around to posting them.

Wow, awesome pics! So glad you got to "revisit" with the cubs.

Also, I did not know you were having surgery, hope your recovery is speedy and easy. Cancer sucks. I will be thinking about you today.

 

Thanks. I was diagnosed in November, had the surgery on January 15th. Had a small tumor inside my right cheek. They took out the tumor and filled the gap with a section of tissue from my left wrist, about 3"x3", took the tissue all the way to the muscle/tendons.

Good news is that the surgery removed all the cancer. I will not need chemo or radiation.I jJust need all these wounds to heal.
