Strange Halo - Lens reflection?

This picture of my baby girl has weird reddish halo's on her eyes (if it isnt red, sue me I am red-green colorblind). I included a crop to highlight it. I am wondering if anyone knows what might have caused it. Maybe a lens reflection.

Shot info:
Canon 30D
1/100
f/2.8
Tamron 18-55/2.8 at 50 mm
ISO 400
Sigma EF530DG Flash bounced off of ceiling (white) Edit: I actually looked closer and this was a shot I took with direct flash.

100%Crop

Not really a problem, I am just curious.

I see a TINY spot of amber at the top of each pupil (maybe the 11:30 position...), but it is completely unnoticeable in the regular sized image.

Cute kid!

Or a tiny bit of red eye from the bounce flash hitting the back of the retina. May explain it's position on the eye.

Was there any other light source in the room? I wanted to check some of my kids pics and I have the light at the same location you do, but I now mine is an overhead light that was on due to the number of bulbs in the pic. If mine light wasn't multiple bulbs it may just be one round thing like in your pic.

I never thought about that. That makes sense.

I would have thought if it was redeye it would be more of a solid dot of red on the pupil - this has a definite ring to it.

The only reason I noticed it is that this image is my desktop wallpaper right now so the image is a little larger than life.

The photo was taken in the living room, the kitchen in the next room is largely open between the 2 - the kitchen fixture is an 8 light chandelier. This might be a cause as well, but I was far enough away that I would expect the tiny reflection would be just a dot even at this zoom. Possible...

I will have to look at other pics in this series to see if it nets any clues....

It's more than likely the chandelier. Zoom in on it and it looks like a light. Only about half is in the pupil, where there is 4 lights, so it would make sense that it is a reflection of your chandelier.
