Something Different for Post Processing

I've strayed away from my more creative processing side. I usually like to produce clean images without much processing. Tried something new out, let me know what you think!! C&C appreciated.

So, what exactly did you do? The colors look a little flat to me. What am I looking for? Can you post the "before" images? I'm guessing what we're looking at here are the "after" from whatever it is you've done?

Looks like a contrast boost with a slight desaturation.

I happen to like the look, although the lighting on the subjects is a little harch in #1 and a little too much in the shadow on #2.

I bet posing location #2 would have been the perfect spot had you had a reflector to put on them, but I do like the overall feel of them.

Also, I just noticed, probably have her wear a lighter shirt, as the black shirt gets "lost" in the contrast boost.

Yea I didn't get to pick their wardrobe, I also shoot with limited gear and assistance. It sucked because the clouds went away for about 45 minutes, the latter half of the shoot turned out nicely with the soft lighting.

Just to see if the look is good, what I did aside I wanted to know if a tasteful image was achieved via over processing.

They look a little pushed, but it's not a bad thing. I think she kind of gets lost in the second one because of it.

Pixel, I like the effect, and happen to think it looks even better when you have a nice mix of light and dark tones in the image. These may just need mor light tones in the composition.

As I posted in your other thread (POTN) I like the processing, but don't think it really suits a couple-in-love shoot. It might work better for shots where they are less engaging - like when one is in focus and the other is in the background partially OOF.

Just some thoughts to consider, but it's good to try new things.
