Seattle
I spent the day with my brother in downtown Seattle last week, doing all the touristy stuff (again), and since we are both photographer wannabe's, we spent the day out taking pictures.
I tried something unusual for a zoom lover like me. I restricted myself to my only prime, the 50mmf1.8. It made me have to think about composition a bit more, and truthfully, I would really have liked something more in line with a 35mm on a 1.6 body, but none the less, it was a fun experiment, and the lens definitely lived up to its reputation.
Anyway, the pics are here: http://flickr.com/photos/jefford_e/s...7607874601905/
C+C welcome and encouraged.

Some really cool shots, stogie. I really like the portrait and the architecture shots.
It just seems that a lot of them are quite dark/underexposed and you might have missed focus or had some camera shake on some.
BTW - Is that a wall of salt water taffy?

the gum wall is outside an improv theater, and the management got tired of people sticking their gum under the seats and on the floor so they started telling people to stick it to the wall outside the building before entering. It caught on.
I really liked some of those shots! Props to you for sticking to a prime. I'm not sure I could've done it. The food ones (particularly the french toast) were making me
I would agree with moeronn that some of them did seem to be a little underexposed, and the shot with the "Lower Floor" sign up top seemed to have some camera shake, but other than that, I really liked the prospective of all the shots you took. Very cool!

Thanks guys.
I see the camera shake, my bad.
I need to look at the JPG files from LR and see if the darkening happened in the conversion to JPG or in the upload to Flickr.

OK, the exposure level may be a product of my monitor, because at home (where I did the PP), it looks OK. Maybe my monitor is set too bright.
