Sanyo Xacti VPC-E1 6MP

What do you guys think about this camera?

I currently have a Sony Cybershot P-8,
which is 4 years old,
still good for taking pictures during parties and what not,
but takes forever to focus + lots of my photos turn out blurry..

I was originally thinking going with the Canon PowerShot G9,
but now this Sanyo seems attractive..

Any thoughts??

IMO you're in apples & oranges land between the G9 and this Sanyo. The Sanyo is a hybrid still camera/camcorder and the G9 is a high end point and shoot intended for people who want the options of full manual everything in including RAW image files. IMO the first thing you need to do is decide what your priority is: the option of photographic control or the option os something that's convenient to carry and doubles as a video camera.

BTW - I didn't see a VPC-E1 on Sanyo's site. The image you posted looks like their VPC-CA65 model.

Yeah, I know the Sanyo and Canon are way different..
In a perfect world, I would love to get both..

VPC-E1 is the model number that Amazon has listed.

Does anybody here own either one??
