Samy's Camera

Is Samy's Camera a good place to purchase cameras? Where should I go to purchase P&S digital cameras? ($200-300)

I need to purchase a b-day gift for my gf in Korea. So ordering online is not an option as the camera needs to be shipped to Korea by May 2nd...

I'm really sorry for not posting this in Camera section. It'll be great, if Mods allow me to let this thread up here till tonight.

Thanks guys.

How are the pricing there though? Is it relatively cheaper than the other normal stores such as Best Buy and Office Depot?

I'm thinking of purchasing Canon SD 1200 IS ($229.95) or SD 880 ($255). These prices are listed on the Samy's website. Are these good cameras anyway? I didn't research much.

I think if I decide what to purchase and know the general pricing of the camera, the doucheness of salemen can be neglected.

Great.

I'm leaning toward more on the pink SD1200. The price for the specific model is exactly the same from Best Buy and Samy's. I should go to Best Buy since they close at 8 pm...

Thanks alot guys!

Same price at Costco ($230), but with free 2GB SD card. No pink color, though. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...S&Sp=C&topnav=

I went to Best Buy last night. After checking out all three cameras(960, 780, 1200), I've decided to purchase SD960. ($329.99)

The reason is that when I try to take a picture of something very closely, only the SD960 was capable of taking a clear focused picture.

And 960 also had the pink one this pink looks much more luxurious as well.
