Samsung Galaxy Camera

See...and everyone is here bitching that no one can innovate because of the current apple/samsung lawsuit outcome.

Personally, I think its retarded...only at this time because of the bulky/clunky factor. But its an interesting direction to head.

Sony has already done this before, partnered with Ericcson. The fact that you don't remember that phone should tell you something.

It's half the size of the Canon G12 that I saw a girl carrying the other day, so its size isn't a huge issue.

I think the appeal of being able to upload directly to facebook/instagram is quite appealing to the 'facebook generation'. But I don't really see how that works, in practicality. It's not going to be your primary phone, so how do you really do 3g/4g with it? Or you have to wait till you get your wifi connection?

this does seem like a decently serious camera though, given its specs - I would not mind seeing some sample photos

It's not technically a phone, but it does have a 4g/3g antenna.
You need a data plan from your provider, and can use it as an IP phone.

that is actually cool as hell that it has Android and you can process and post photos right from the camera, that is cool as hell. Now all they need to do is add OS and app system to an already established P&S such as Canon S100 series or Nikon or hell bring it to the mirrorless cameras - I'd guess it'll happen sooner or later.

The NEX 5R and 6 will have WiFi and stuff to do over the air, NOT an Android device, but there WILL be apps you can download to be used with them. I haven't read much about that part of the new feature, do I'm not too sure what they do, but I think there WILL be some in camera processing (I believe)

Wow, you really like starting shit, don't you? Personally, I don't give a rats ass about these apps or the feature(s), like I already said I haven't read much about it, I don't even think its been officially announced.
