Liquidation starts April 4th.


So you think I would get decent deals if I went today? The day before the liquidation or wait until the end of the liquidation to look for decent deals?

Don't forget that since this is part of a bankruptcy reorganization they may very well be under specific court orders on how they go about shedding inventory from these stores. Granted, the court order (if there even is one) could effectively say "sell it for whatever you can get for it."

 

Probably not worth it then like circuit city?

Ritz and Wolf are the same companies aren't they?

It may be worth stopping by, but don't expect any major pargains.

 

If they have alot stock inventory of lenses hop on it quick, but other than that they carry alot tamron quantary brands.

May be worthwhile if they are unloading their studio lighting kits for cheep...

 

holy crap. i cant believe this.
i worked 2 years for Kits Camera and Camera's West and now theyre bankrupt. thats crazy.

and Ritz = Kits = Cameras West = Boater's World = The Camera Shop = Wolf's Camera = Camera World

 

Their prices were always high, so I can't imagine too many people would buy from them when B&H, etc. are around.

 

Wow! Although I guess it shouldn't be that much of a shock. I think many other purveyors of "luxury items" will go under before all is said and done. Is there any info out there on which stores they'll be closing? There's one in the mall near my house, and one right across the street from the same mall. I'll bet one of them will get the axe.

 

 

yeah, like everyone else, they'll probably raise their prices, then take 10% off to make people think they're getting a deal.

 

that's why I wanted to go the day I posted this, they weren't liquidating yet. Ohh well I got lazy.

 

Yea they told me april 4 is the day they start, the actual store told me liquidators come in the 5th to price inventory.

 

so they close reopen on the 6th with a 10% off sale with prices that are 20% higher than the prices were on the 4th

Its amazing that people still fall for those liquidators scams
