Remote flash?

I was looking at Pictures from a recent mountain biking event. And the guy had a set up where he had a flash on a tripod and a second flash on the ground. So when he took the shot, those flashes went off. Is there something like that I could get for my Rebel xt? Im shooting some wedding pics and would love to be able to use this at the door. Thanks.

That particular shoot is done with Nikon flashes - it's built into the Creative Lighting System flashes, and the controller is built into certain camera bodies like the D70 and D200.

I'll let someone who knows Canon advise you on how to do something similar with Canon.

Cheap way: use radio slaves from ebay
Real way: use PocketWizards

Step 1: Get something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Digital-Radio-Wi...QQcmdZViewItem

Step 2: You'll need to get an extra reciever if you have more than one flash. If you are just using canon hotshoe flashes for your setup (i.e. 430EX, 580EX, etc), you'll need to ask the seller if they have hotshoe adapters because those flashes don't have a sync port and must be triggered through the shoe.

Step 3: Read this article on how to balance your flash power with ambient lighting: http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03...flash-and.html

Step 4: Practice before you go to the wedding.
