Remote Compatibility Question

Hey guys. I'm on Amazon getting some stuff for my Rebel XT for my upcoming vacation. I'd like to get a remote - is this one below compatible with the Rebel XT?

Canon's website shows the RC-1 and the RC-5 as accessories for the XT.

^^ I order one for my film body, it's out of stock, they said maybe get it 9-23 August. That was back on the 9 July.

Sorry, I did order from amazon.com, they're not showing any in stock, but their vendors do have a few.
