Rebel XT flashing BUSY
This might be a stupid question, but I can't seem to figure out what's going on. I was trying to transfer pics to my PC tonight, but every time I connect my Rebel XT, it flashes BUSY and won't sync with the computer. I can't find anything in the manual about what it might mean....any clues?
Oh, and the battery icon says it's fine, so it's not that.

Are you able to review the pictures on the camera's lcd? Thinking the busy is the camera trying to read the card to transmit to computer. Are you able to just put c/f reader on the computer, bypassing camera? Have you tried another c/f to see if it's working? Maybe turn camera off, remove and installsame c/f card, then turn back on.
I've never used my camera to transfer pictures, always put c/f into reader on computer. I told/read that it is faster this way. I guess I need to hook it to see what how it works.

Hmm, I guess I will see if I can transfer them using just the card. I haven't tried that yet with this camera.
I don't think it's because the card is almost full, because a window pops up and says the camera is busy or is not connected, and it won't go any further. It just seems like it isn't recognizing the camera. I don't know, maybe it does need more time to get the pics. This is annoying, though, because it just won't go further than this point no matter how many times I tried it last night.
Edit: Interesting....it's working from using just the card. I never used that before because my old camera used Xd cards that weren't compatible with my PC. I wonder why this is working though, and not the cable I always used before. Very strange. Thanks, guys!
