The family finally got a chance to take a vacation. Most of it was family obligations (mom's birthday party) but we got a chance to spend some time in the warm weather and 2 days on the beach.

Day 1 we were up at 2:00 AM for a 6:00 AM flight from Baltimore to Miami to Trinidad. The little man was excited to be on a plane and was awesome flying. All we did that evening was visit with some family.

Day 2 was doing errands. Lots of running around. That evening Elliott cut his knee really bad. It stopped bleeding in a couple minutes and we cleaned it out and bandaged it. I need to over react more as a parent because even though he was on antibiotics for strep and we cleaned it out really well it got infected. He was fine....leg is still in place. Boo-Boo is healing nicely now, but it did mean some time at the doctors (that be day 3) and less running around for about a day or 2 for him. Try stopping a 4 year old from running around.

Day 4 was my mom's birthday party. She has gotten a lot more religious since my dad passed away.

Cut did not slow down his flirting ability at all....



Days 5-6 we were in Tobago for some sea and sun. We got a place right on the ocean. Awesome view.

This was out the door of the apartment we rented....









On Day 6 we took a glass bottom boat out for a 2 hour tour of the reef and Nylon Pool. Nylon Pool is a sand bar out in the ocean where the water gets up to maybe your mid stomach. The weather was a bit over cast and the water was a bit choppy but we had a good time there.

I would start with the gay guy dancing. But that water was a hell of a nice mix of green and blue.

I took a couple hundred more pics, but a lot of the ones on the beach did not come out very nice. I think I needed a filter because there was a lot of reflection off the ocean. I left my filters in my old camera bag.

Actually at this time of year it is hot but not too humid. It was a nice change from the cold and ice.

 

There are a bunch but I don't think a lot of us get to go back too often.
