Lightroom really sucks balls at trying to efficiently trying to combine computers...

Combine computers?
As if running the same catalog on two systems? Or moving the catalog from one to the other?
I've done both. Same catalog on two systems is just a hassle. I had to do this when I was taking photo classes.
Moving the catalog from one PC to another was a breeze though. It found all my archived photos even though the network mount pointed to a different server (same mount name).

Merging all my computers to one catalog on my iMac.
Been using my MacBook pro for all my editing the last several months until I get my iMac back in the nursery/office
