Lately I've been having issues with none (or not all) of my pictures importing to my computer and I have no clue what the issue is.

My current set up (Macbook Pro and Rebel XT) is to import the pics using Aperture. Plug camera into computer, turn on camera, Aperture opens, pictures import.

However, now when I plug in the camera, Aperture starts (so computer is recognizing the camera), but the pics aren't importing.

I am unsure if this is an SD Card issue or cable. The SD Card is a few years old.

 

How about picking up an SD Card reader? They are fairly inexpensive and I would guess would upload faster then from the camera anyway. My current and older laptop both have card readers built in, and I much prefer transferring that way then plugging into my Mac Mini.

 

Try a different SD in your camera, if same, then a camera problem. Try stand alone card reader and see what happens as well.

Almost instantaneous with the card reader. Thanks for the suggestion.

 

check the cable before you toss the camera
